Our long block combinations are built upon our proven
short blocks. The long block adds a full gasket set, solid or hydraulic
flat tappets, a new oil pump, new timing cover, cylinder heads, pushrods, and
rocker arms. Actual horsepower numbers are dependant upon camshaft and
intake options.
Due to the massive pricing increases and poor quality
of cores available, we have chosen to now use only BRAND NEW GM engine blocks in
our long and short block SBC's. This does not include Vortec or LT1 blocks
which are still readily available and in excellent condition and are 2 bolt
blocks with ARP main studs. We feel that
the minor price difference you see will be more than made up for in the quality
of the block you are getting.
